Some
boats have sold recently, and a few are for sale, so
we'll see if the new mix of owners can restart the class racing. At the 2006 fleet meeting it was decided that the class would NOT allow assymetrical spinnakers for FLEET races. Some of our boats have them, and they remain a great tool for reaching legs in PHRF races, but until they become more widespread throughout the fleet, they would effectively exclude many current boats from competition. This decision is expected to be revisted at the next fleet meeting, and maybe some more boats will have added these sails to their inventories, and we can vote to allow their use in fleet races. The Class will offer a $50 Trophy (gift certificate to West Marine) for the fastest 30/30 in any Fleet or non-Fleet (but non- beercan!) race where at least (4) 30/30's are entered. So coordinate your schedules with boats in your area, and lets do our best to drain the Fleet's bank account! To help with this, please forward a copy of your boat's racing schedule to the web lackey for inclusion on this site. Any other info, links, articles, whatever for this site is also appreciated.
